    Plate heat exchanger is an important part of the refrigeration host, which is made up of a group of corrugated metal plates. There are four corner holes on the plate, through which two kinds of liquids for heat transfer can pass, and the fluids can be guided to alternately flow through their respective channels for heat exchange. They are closely arranged, high in precision, small in size, high in heat exchange efficiency, space-saving and have high requirements for use environment, so they are suitable for small refrigeration units. General air-conditioning equipment can be used for 15 ~ 20 years under normal maintenance, but the main reason for the breakdown of the plate heat exchanger of the host is as follows:

    1. After a long period of operation, the plate heat exchanger with maintenance problems needs to be cleaned regularly, usually once every two years. For example, the current plate heat exchanger can be disassembled and cleaned separately, but the plate heat exchanger on the general refrigeration engineering mainframe can't be disassembled, and can only be cleaned by opening the valves and plugs on the inlet and outlet pipes of the heat exchanger. Therefore, it is difficult to clean the heat exchanger, and it is easy to block and scale. Once some channels in the heat exchanger are blocked, the rest of the channels have to bear the flow of all the water in the unit. In this way, the flow rate through the plate heat exchanger increases, the friction force increases, and the wear is accelerated.

    2. Material problem of plate exchange Compared with other heat exchangers, the heat exchange surface of plate heat exchanger is quite thin, i.e. 0.5mm, and the maximum allowable corrosion degree is 0.05mm/year. Ordinary plate heat exchangers are usually made of alloy materials (304 or 316). 304 is the cheapest austenitic stainless steel, which has corrosion resistance to a certain range of organic matters, but weak resistance to hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid. Generally, the plate heat exchanger of air-conditioning host is made of 304, so it is inevitable that the plate will break down and corrode after 8 years of use.

    3. Installation problem The system is only equipped with a "Y" filter, but no electronic water treatment device, so it is difficult to ensure that the pipeline system does not scale. In addition, if the "Y" filter is not cleaned in time, even tiny gravel that is basically harmless to shell-and-tube heat exchangers will remain in the circulating water, which will also be harmful to the plate heat exchangers.

    4. Plate-to-plate processing technology. The plate processing technology of plate heat exchanger is unscientific, and the wall thickness of the whole plate is uneven. In normal use, the thinnest part is prone to perforation.

    5, the use of environmental temperature, the use of environmental temperature of plate heat exchanger is too low, the plate breakdown is frozen, the internal volume of plate exchange is small, and there is too much room for expansion of its own structure, which will be broken when frozen.

    6. Problems of water quality in working conditions. At present, there is no denying that the water quality of plate heat exchangers is poor, and most of them have not been purified and filtered. Scaling and corrosion are widespread. Resulting in perforation of plate heat exchanger plates. Other atypical causes such as water hammer and collision will not be mentioned.
